Academics, business leaders and other stakeholders will be brought together at the first Suffolk Sustainability and Innovation Summit, taking place on February 2.
The event, at the Ipswich Waterfront Innovation Centre, will see the launch of the Suffolk Sustainability Institute, a partnership between the University of Suffolk and Suffolk County Council which aims to become a regional centre of excellence supporting UN sustainable development goals through consultancy and research and support for innovation, knowledge transfer and skills development.
Speakers will include Nick Cliffe of Innovate UK, Alan Ridealgh of Suffolk-based firm Muntons, Jarmo Eskelinen of Future Cities Catapult and Professor Darryl Newport from the University of East London as well as Professor Mohammad Dastbaz of the University of Suffolk and Matthew Hicks of Suffolk County Council.
One-to-one consultations will also be available during the afternoon for businesses to discuss how the university can help support their plans for innovation and growth. To book a place, email ssi@uos.ac.uk.
