Specflue is celebrating 25 years in business, during which it has grown from a team of just five into a business employing more than 120 people, with an annual turnover of more than £20m.
Specflue has become a leading supplier of flue and chimney products for gas, oil and solid fuel systems, and in addition to its Sudbury head office also now has depots at Honiton in Devon and Castleford in West Yorkshire.
Since 2012 has also run a training centre, helping to drive up standards in the renewables sector in which it has been a pioneer, now supplying products such as biomass boilers and pellet stoves as well as a wide range of chimney systems, flue pipes, flexible flue liners and ancillaries.
Specflue is led by Jeremy and Jan Fry, now in the roles of chairman and managing director respectively, who attribute the growth and longevity of the business to its success in identifying the right products to supply, along with a commitment to quality and service.
“It is these values, coupled with the exceptional technical knowledge of its staff, that have driven Specflue to become one of the UK’s foremost suppliers of flue, chimney, wood burning fire and renewable heating products,” said Mr Fry.
