The Swan at Lavenham hotel and spa has formed an alliance with the Concord organisation, which specialises in the recruitment, training and placement of college graduates in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
Managing director Ingo Wiangke said that the move, which will see graduates spend six months on placement at The Swan, reflected the hotel’s commitment to developing top quality staff and delivering first-class customer service.
“We are delighted that we have formed what we anticipate will be a long-term partnership with Concord Hotels,” he said. “Their unique approach to staff training and development to supervisory and management level is well recognised within the industry and sits well with our own HR philosophy.
“We are looking forward to receiving the first of our trainees, all of whom are of the highest calibre, hand-selected by experts with years of experience and supported throughout by a mentor who has worked in the industry from grassroots level up.”
More than 70% of trainees are retained within Concord member hotels on completion of the training scheme.
