Colchester Borough Councillor Annie Feltham, portfolio holder for commercial services, said: “The new functional training area is a great addition to the excellent facilities at Leisure World Colchester. Functional training has become very popular as it is low impact and helps prevent injuries. I use it myself and its simplicity makes it suitable for all levels of fitness, as well as increasing the ease of everyday life.”
The main gym has also had a revamp with new dumbbells and flooring in the free weight area, 31 new state-of-the-art spinning bikes in the dedicated Spinning Studio and another brand new studio located on the first floor.
Memberships also offer free use of the leisure and 25m fitness pools as well as your pick of the huge range of classes on offer from the high energy Bodyattack and boxercise to the more tranquil yoga or line dancing.
If you feel you deserve some pampering after the pounding your body is getting from your new fitness regime, then the Health and Fitness membership also includes the use of the steam room, saunas and pools at Leisure World’s Aqua Springs Day Spa.
