The White Lion in Aldeburgh’s latest unique foodie offering is a Swiss speciality.
Not able to make it to the slopes this year? Don’t worry as The White Lion Hotel in Aldeburgh’s got your apres-ski cravings covered.
The seafront hotel has become one of the first restaurants in the east of England to serve traditonal raclette. No visit to the Swiss Alps is complete without trying this magnificently decadent dish, where the surface of Raclette cheese is melted until oozing and bubbling and scooped over potatoes, bread and cooked meats.
At The White Lion’s Brasserie Bleue wedges of cheese will be set-up with special heaters tableside, served with a generous platter of Suffolk salami, Parma ham, cooked ham, bresaola, new potatoes, pickles and green salad for the ultimate in winter indulgences.
The dish is on both the lunch and dinner menu at £18 per person for a minimum of two people. Booking is advised.
