In celebration of its 80th birthday it has been announced this year's theme is 'All Things 80s'.

The carnival organisers said: "We are hoping for even more floats to take part in the carnival day procession - it really is a fun thing to do.
"We will have our ever poplar lantern parade from the High Street to the beach for fireworks."
"And to top it all off we are planning some special events for 80th Aldeburgh Carnival in addition to our usual full and exciting agendas."
Carnival day is on Monday, August 19 with other activities taking place over the weekend.
