A pair of poodles and their owner were rescued after becoming stranded off a Suffolk beach. 

The RNLI was called after reports a person and the dogs, named Rosie and Misty,  became stranded in the water off Walberswick beach last week and started to struggle against the tide.

Their owner then attempted to rescue her pets from the water but also got into trouble.

After a member of public called for help, the two dogs and the owner were then quickly rescued by RNLI teams from Southwold Lifeboat Station and HM Coastguard Lowestoft. 

Halesworth Police said; "All parties involved were safely brought to shore and checked over by professionals".
