A busy west Suffolk road has reopened four hours after a lorry jack-knifed across the carriageway colliding with two cars and blocking traffic in both directions.
Suffolk police received reports of an accident on the A142 in Newmarket at just after 4pm.
A police spokesman said a heavy goods vehicle had jack-knifed across the road, crashing into two other vehicles.
The road was closed in both directions, while the vehicles are recovered and the carriageway is cleared.
It reopened at around 8pm – four hours after the accident was first reported.
None of the drivers involved in the collision are reported to have suffered serious injuries.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said seven appliances had been sent to the scene to assist police. Crews from Cambridge, Cottenham, Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds were reported to be in attendance.
The A142 runs from Newmarket to Chatteris in Cambridgeshire.
