A new venue has been chosen for an annual baby remembrance service held in Colchester.
The service is for families who have suffered the loss of a baby at any time during pregnancy or around the time of birth.
The event has been running in the town since 1994 and has been held at Colchester General Hospital since 2014.
This year, however, the service will take place at The Ark at Highwoods Methodist Church, in Jack Andrews Drive, on October 12.
The event will happen during Baby Loss Awareness Week, and last about 45 minutes with prayers, music and a candle-lighting ceremony.
Allison Cline-Dean, lead chaplain, said: “Families can join together so their baby can be remembered and we can support each other in the journey of loss.”
Afterwards, parents will have a chance to talk with each other and with members of the Trust’s chaplaincy and maternity teams.
