Police closed the A11 southbound at Elveden following a two-vehicle collision this afternoon.
The incident involving a Vauxhall Corsa and a Ford Focus happened just after 1.10pm on the A11 between Barton Mills and Thetford, north of the Fiveways roundabout.
A fire crew from Mildenhall and one from Brandon attended along with the rescue pump from Newmarket, and the fire service assisted paramedics with multiple casualties.
Ambulance crews arrived at the scene around 1.30pm but it is not yet known how many people were involved in the collision or what their injuries were.
A Suffolk police spokeswoman said officers were still at the scene at 3.30pm and the road was reopened shortly after.
