Police have launched an investigation after a cross from a village church was stolen.
A brass ornate cross, pictured, was unscrewed from a wooden staff and taken during the incident in Church Square, Bures.
The theft took place between 12.30pm and 5pm on March 2 and is thought to have taken place at St Mary’s Church.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses.
