Two men armed with a gun and knives attacked a man, in Kirby Cross, with an unknown substance before stealing jewellery.
Police are appealing for information following the aggravated burglary, which happened on Wednesday, July 19, in Laburnum Crescent.
Two men broke into a property in the Tendring village at around 2.30pm on Wednesday, July 19.
They threatened the victim with a knife and a gun and made him get on the floor before stealing jewellery.
The victim attempted to stop the men but was sprayed in the face with an unknown substance, causing irritation to his face.
Officers are looking to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time, particularly if they saw a blue Audi which was seen in the area.
