Motorists in Raydon suffered delays this morning after a car struck a telegraph pole.

Suffolk police officers were called around 7.30am to reports that a single vehicle had struck a pole in The Gardens, Raydon.

A police spokesman said officers at the scene found a BMW three series was the car involved, but said that no-one had been injured.

Engineers from BT have been called to repair the telephone cable in the road.

The crash caused delays around Raydon, including in The Street heading in both directions close to the Rectory Close junction.

The road was clear shortly before 9am.
