The sister of a self-employed builder from Essex who has not been seen for nearly three weeks has made a desperate plea for him to return home.
Diana Mays is urging anyone who might have seen missing Nigel Kedar, 52, since he was last spotted walking along the A140 corridor through Dickleburgh towards Ipswich to call police immediately.
Nigel’s out of character disappearance has shaken the family to the core, Mrs Mays said as she admitted the 52-year-old’s parents, siblings and 13-year-old son are still trying to make sense of it all.
He is devoted to his son and would not have missed the Easter holidays for the world, Mrs Mays added.
“It’s completely out of character and we are all devastated by his disappearance,” she said.
“Knowing Nigel he would not just go missing – he is devoted to his young son and a great father and his son is missing him so much.
“We’re told he was last seen on the A140 at Dickleburgh but we are at a loss as to where he has been since.
“We are desperately worried about him and his son needs him to be at home.
“As a family we’re asking anyone who knows anything to get in touch with police now.”
On Monday detectives said they were growing increasingly concerned for Nigel’s welfare.
They said he was last seen at 9.30am on April 4 walking southbound along the A140 corridor.
The police helicopter joined in with the search over the weekend as the An investigation into his disappearance continues.
Nigel is described as white, 5ft 11in tall, of a large build and has short hair.
He was wearing dark coloured trousers with a lighter coloured long sleeved shirt when he was last seen.
Detective Chief Inspector Marie James from Norfolk Constabulary said: “The last positive sighting of Nigel was two weeks ago and we are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.
“Enquiries have revealed that Nigel visited Norwich on April 2 and made his way on foot through Long Stratton, Pulham Market and through Dickleburgh.”
