The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT) is holding a course aimed at helping landowners maximise the benefits of the new Countryside Stewardship offers.
The event, which will take place at the Allerton Project in Leicester on February 27, will look into the four new offers introduced by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) to help land managers boost biodiversity and help protect and enhance farmland and the countryside. These include Online Arable Offer, Lowland Grazing Offer, Upland Offer and Mixed Farming Offer, all of which have been welcomed by GWCT and will provide tailored options covering the full range of different farm types.
The course, run by the Allerton Project team, will also allow farmers to look at scheme options in practice, from positioning and choosing the seed mix, to establishing the option and option management.
