Three people are due to appear in court on Monday after an elderly woman had her handbag stolen in Felixstowe town centre on Saturday afternoon.

Police received a report that a man approached an elderly woman from behind in Orwell Road, at the junction with Highfield Road, and snatched her handbag before being driven away with others in a vehicle, Suffolk Constabulary has said.

The alleged incident took place at around 2.20pm on Saturday (February 24).

Nicholas Faux, 33, of Highfield Road in Felixstowe, Kiel Faux, 29, and Rachel Vincent, 32, both of Elmcroft Road in Ipswich, were arrested. All three have been charged with robbery.

They are due to appear at South East Suffolk Magistrates’ Court in Ipswich on Monday morning.
