Pupils at a primary school near Bury St Edmunds wowed audiences with their nativity this week.

Children from reception and Years 1-3 at Hartest Primary School put on three performances of ‘The Wriggly Nativity’ to parents and guests on Wednesday and Thursday.

Matthew Coombs, headteacher, hailed the perfomances of pupils and said the play was “enjoyable and moving to watch”.

He said: “The children wowed their audiences with excellent performances all round.

“The whole nativity was very enjoyable and moving to watch, retelling the true meaning of Christmas in an exciting way.

“The quality of singing, acting and dancing was excellent for children who are so young.

“It is a real testament to the value children and staff place on providing an exciting curriculum. A huge well done to everyone for a great show.”
