An Essex man who was found in possession indecent images of children seven years after he was jailed for similar offences has been sent back to prison.

David Langfield, 29, of Ashley Road, Harwich was jailed for 16 weeks in 2009 after admitting two offences of making indecent images of children, Ipswich Crown Court heard.

In August last year police officers seized computer equipment from his home and found an extreme pornographic image as well as one indecent movie of a child in the most serious level A category, said Joe Bird, prosecuting.

There was also one still image and three movies at level B and two images at level C.

Langfield admitted three offences of making indecent images of children, possessing an extreme pornographic image and breaching a sexual offences prevention order.

He was jailed for 12 months and ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register and made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order.
