A cleaner who stole cash and jewellery from frail, elderly clients including a 94-year-old woman has been ordered to pay back £2,800.
A Proceeds of Crime hearing at Ipswich Crown Court heard Karen Robinson’s benefit from her crimes was £13,122.
However, the 49-year-old, of Broadfield Road, Gislingham, near Eye, only has £2,800 in available assets.
She must hand over the money within three months or face an additional four weeks in prison on top of the 21-month jail term she received at Ipswich Crown Court in January.
Robinson had admitted six offences of theft.
She had been trusted with keys to some of the houses she worked at and stole from six customers, three of whom have since died.
Less than £4,000 of the stolen property has been recovered and some of the victims had only realised their belongings had been stolen after Robinson was suspended by the company she worked for.
The offences occurred between February 2014 and April 2015.
At Robinson’s sentencing Judge John Devaux described the crimes as “mean and unpleasant”.
