The chairman of international farming and marketing business, G’s Fresh, will be guest speaker at an Ipswich Suffolk Business Club lunch at Milsoms Kesgrave Hall, Ipswich, on May 11.

John Shropshire OBE heads up a £0.5bn turnover group specialising in growing salads and vegetables in the UK, Czech Republic, Poland, Spain and Senegal over 12,500 hectares. G’s sells 1 billion packs of salads and vegetable crops to major UK, Europe and USA supermarket brands.

The Ely-based group employs 7,000 people, half of which are seasonal, and has won several national industry awards.
