A man has been bailed after a jogger was allegedly attacked in an area of woodland near Foxhall Stadium in Ipswich.

A 19-year-old man was running alone in a wooded area near to the Kelvedon Drive area of Ipswich when he was approached by an unknown man at around 9.15pm on Saturday, February 17.

The jogger sustained injuries to his stomach, hand and elbow in the alleged assault. He attended Ipswich Hospital for treatment and was released that same evening.

A 36-year-old man was arrested on Friday on suspicion of grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident. Today, police said the man has been questioned by detectives and released on police bail, to report to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre on March 21.
