Olly Murs helped a Suffolk choir take its annual fundraising total to over £5,000 when he made a virtual appearance at its sold out Ipswich concert at the weekend.
Pop Chorus held its annual summer concert at the Ipswich Corn Exchange on Saturday night, its final fundraising event in aid of St Elizabeth Hospice.
Olly appeared on screen with a personal message for guest performers the Debenham Girls Group, just as they were about to perform one of his singles, Up.
Pop Chorus director Yula Andrews said the grand total raised by the choir’s activities in the last year had amounted to £5,295, and a cheque was presented to hospice chief executive Mark Millar.
She added: “The entire choir can take a well-earned break now before returning to weekly rehearsals in September to begin another year of fund raising for this very worthy cause.”
