A Suffolk mother-of-two and a 68-year-old man have admitted cheating the public revenue by failing to pay thousands of pounds of tax.
Before Ipswich Crown Court on Monday were mother-of-two Gisele Dineur, 41, of Hill House Lane, Needham Market, and Leslie Saxby, 68, of Fulham High Street, London.
They each admitted a charge of cheating the public revenue by failing to pay VAT, corporation tax, income tax, PAYE tax and national insurance contributions.
The offences took place between September 1, 2009 and April 5, 2015.
Jane Oldfield, prosecuting, said the offences were committed over a six-year period and the amount involved in respect of Dineur was £254,999, and in Saxby’s case it was £171,116.
Adjourning the case for pre-sentence reports, Judge John Devaux warned the defendants he wasn’t giving any indication as to the sentence they were likely to receive.
“All sentencing options remain open,” said the judge.
