A west Suffolk bottle bank became so full after the Bank Holiday Weekend, people were forced to leave their empties on the floor.
The Mildenhall bottle bank, in the Sainsbury’s car park, was pictured by Facebook user Alan Barton, with row upon row of bottles left in front of the overflowing bins.
Several people commented on the photo. One user said: “Looks like Mildenhall had a good bank holiday. Party Town!”
Mr Barton, who did not put any of the bottles seen in the picture, said: “Mildenhall people know how to party.”
Other users reacted in shock at the image, while another said: “Shows there are a lot of people in Mildenhall with a great deal of disposable income.”
The bottle bank is one of two in the town, with the other on St John’s Close reportedly not full.
The picture was taken on the Bank Holiday Monday.
