Roadworks at both ends of Portman Road in Ipswich are causing traffic tailbacks in the area.
Work to connect a sewer and reinstate a footpath is being carried out by Suffolk County Council on Princes Street, as it joins the south end of Portman Road, while UK Power Networks are carrying out work to repair a mains electricity line at the north end as it meets Handford Road.
Both stretches of roadworks have temporary traffic lights to control the flow of cars.
There are reports of tailbacks throughout the town centre as a result.
The Princes Street roadworks are expected to be completed by Friday, November 10, while the roadworks at the north of Portman Road are expected to be completed by Tuesday November 14.
