Here is a summary of planned roadworks covering Suffolk and Essex for the forthcoming week:

M11

The potholes covering Junctions 6 to 9 are being repaired, this will be done overnight under mobile lane closures between Monday 26 and Friday 30 June 7pm – 4am.

There will be work done to improve journeys by carrying out resurfacing continues this week at Junction 8 (A120).The southbound entry slip road and carriageway will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 6am for two nights starting from Tuesday 27 June. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the Birchanger Roundabout, Priory Wood Roundabout and the dedicated link road to the M11 southbound.

The northbound entry slip road and carriageway will also be closed overnight, starting from Thursday 29 June for two nights between 8pm and 6am, A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the M11 southbound entry slip road to M11 junction 7 and return.

A11

Highways England are carrying out surveys on the A11 Thetford Bypass northbound, between the A134 roundabout and the A1075 roundabout. This will mean overnight closure on the northbound carriageway from 8pm - 6am between Monday 26 and Thursday 29 June. The diversion route will exit traffic at the A134 roundabout, joining the A1066 and A1075 before re-joining the A11 at the A1075 roundabout.

The surveys will also take place on the A11 Thetford Bypass southbound, between the A1075 roundabout and the A134 roundabout.There will be overnight closure on the southbound carriageway,from 8pm-6am on weekdays from Friday 30 June to Friday 7 July. The diversion route will exit traffic at the A1075 roundabout, joining the A1075 and A1066 before re-joining the A11 at the A134 roundabout.

A12

Surface repairs are being carried out between M25 junction 28 and Ipswich. This will be done overnight under lane closure between Monday 26 and Friday 30 June from 7pm – 4am.

Vegetation is being cleared on the A12 between Copdock and Brentwood. This will happen between Monday 26 and Friday 30 June from 7pm – 4am.

Work to maintain safety by repairing the damaged Ewell Bridge continues this week. The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Wednesday 28 June for three nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the B1024 through Kelvedon.

A14

Potholes are being repaired between junction 13 and junction 37 there will be lane closure overnight between Monday 26 and Friday 30 June 7pm – 4am.

Surveys are being completed between junction 39 and junction 40, this means a full carriageway closure between Junction 38 and Junction 42 between Monday 26 and Friday 30 June 8pm – 6am. The diversion route will exit traffic A14 Junction 38 Waterhill, on to the A11, A1101 and B1106 before re-joining the A14 at Junction 42 Westley.

A120

Highways England are repairing potholes on the A120 between M11 Stansted and Marks Tey. This will be done overnight under mobile lane closures between Monday 26 and Friday 30 June 7pm – 4am.

Work to improve journeys by carrying out resurfacing and lighting renewal continues this week, from Marks Tey to B1024 Coggeshall, Essex. The road in both directions will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 6am from Monday 26 June for five nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A12, A130, A131 and A120, and vice versa.

Resurfacing continues from Marks Farm, through to Braintree to B1024. Temporary traffic lights will be in use overnight between 8pm and 6am, from Monday 26 June for five nights.

Work to repair drainage along the A120 near Wix continues this week. Temporary traffic lights and a 40mph speed limit will be in place overnight, between 8pm and 5am, from Monday 26 June for five nights.
