Suffolk Young People’s Health Project (4YP) has been awarded £500 after being nominated as a chosen charity of a psychological skills mentoring firm.

Chimp Management’s consultant psychiatrist Steve Peters chose the charity because of its work in helping young people aged 12-25 with emotional, physical and mental wellbeing, which parallels with his work in sports psychiatry and mental health.

Tibbs Pinter, chief executive of 4YP, said: “We are delighted to receive this support from Professor Peters and the Chimp Management team.

“For a local charity of our size, a £500 donation makes a considerable impact, with every penny going towards the services we offer young people in the county.”

Staff from the firm visited youngsters benefitting from 4YP and hailed the work of the cause.

Chris Gooder from Chimp Management added: “It was a pleasure to come and visit this wonderful charity and see first hand all of the great work they are doing for the community.

“Speaking to the staff it is clear how driven and passionate they are about improving the lives of many young people, and I look forward along with Chimp Management to helping them with this in the future.”
