We’ve compiled a list of our favourite places from across the county to celebrate the inaugural Suffolk Day tomorrow.
Staff across our Archant Suffolk titles were tasked with choosing their favourite Suffolk spot, be it a town or village, a pub or their favourite place to watch the sun set.
It was a tough decision - Suffolk has so many fantastic and beautiful places, but we have managed to make a shortlist of sorts.
Of course, we all knew that Framlingham would feature, as editor-in-chief Terry Hunt has often told of his fondness of the market town that boasts the ‘Castle on the Hill’.
Between us, we have picked out some Suffolk gems that span right across the country, from town centre areas such as Christchurch Park in Ipswich, to seaside Felixstowe and the idyllic Shingle Street, right up to the north of the county in Aldeburgh and Bury St Edmunds’ Abbey Gardens in the west.
We would love to hear from you about your favourite place in the county to help us to celebrate Suffolk Day.
