Emily said: “This year is definitely more luxurious with a lot more boutiques and more emphasis on the Fifth Avenue section, which looks great!”

Nicky Wade, owner of Stowmarket based handmade jewellery business, Gemmeus, who has made jewellery for BBC 2’s Wolf Hall, said: “We have had some great sales already, it’s great to get some good sales I under your belt before the afternoon.

“This my second year here and I have definitely noticed a rising demand for local hand made jewellery and historic jewellery like this.”

Although for some new business, it’s events like this that really help to elevate the brand and raise its profile.

Stephen Reeds, owner, founder and designer of 18-month-old fashion retailer, Teddy Edwards, explains how starting off as a new brand can be difficult in the competitive industry.

Mr Reeds said: “It’s highly difficult, however I noticed a gap in the market for quality British made products aimed at the country market who appreciate a ‘Made in Britain’ background.

“Our very popular waterproof coats are made right here in Suffolk.

“As a new business, it a case of being seen, and Fifth Avenue is lovely for that.
