Record crowds crawled under cargo nets, climbed up banks and waded through rivers to collect cash for charity at an annual Suffolk race.
Now in its 11th year, 1,700 participants took on the Suffolk Whole Hog hosted on Sunday which saw runners complete a five-mile course in Wantisden near Woodbridge.
The more challenging Boss Hog saw fundraisers endure a gruelling eight mile race.
Raising money for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), the event’s nominated charity for 2017, race director Ian Bliss said it was the biggest and best contest they have ever hosted.
“We had beautiful weather and we have had lots of positive feedback about how good the obstacles were,” Mr Bliss added.
“It is easily our biggest race yet, there were 1,700 people so a record number.”
Tunnels, slides, jumps, swings and monkey bars blocked participants’ paths as they pushed their way through mud and water.
