Three six-year-old boys from Stonham Aspal Primary School have taken on a gruelling and muddy obstacle course to raise money for Blesma, the limbless veterans charity.
Layton Branch, Dexter Whinney and Oscar Webb took on the Nuclear Rookie Race in Brentwood on Saturday, completing the course in 32 minutes.
The group were inspired after Layton’s dad Colin Branch, a veteran who has an above the knee leg amputation, took on the course with a group of friends in May.
Colin said the youngsters were so pumped after seeing them take on the challenge, they were desperate to take it on themselves.
“I am so very proud of them,” he said.
“It helps spread awareness too that just because you are missing a limb, doesn’t mean you are disabled.”
Layton, Dexter and Oscar also held a fundraiser at the school, selling cakes and raffle tickets.
Together, they managed to raise more than £200 for the charity.
