Emergency medics touched down in a Suffolk village this morning to reports of a woman who was not breathing – but were unable to save her.
Crews including the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were called to Lawshall, between Bury St Emdunds and Sudbury, at around 8.30am.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust, which also had crews in attendance, said the woman was reported to be not breathing.
“An ambulance crew, ambulance officer, rapid response vehicle and air ambulance from Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were dispatched,” the spokesman added.
“They treated a woman who was in cardiac arrest.
“Despite their best efforts, the patient sadly died at the scene.
“Our thoughts go out to her family and friends.”
