Hosted on May 10 at Foxburrow Farm in Melton near Woodbridge, crowds enjoyed a variety activities and a raffle donated by a variety of local businesses.

A dance performance of ‘The Seedling’ by Anna Rowe and Karen Louise was also enjoyed by crowds in the Star Gazebo.

Storyteller, Emma Robinson, returned to the event to read captivating tales to audiences along with music and folk dancing from Aartworks, Ellytree, Lagabag, Danegeld, Oxblood, Jason Hay.

Throughout the day, activities included pond dipping, binocular bingo, den building, creative makes, games on the field and nature trails.

There were also treats for animal and art lovers with donkey rides around a sculpture trail by pupils from Farlingaye High School.

Cathy Smith, education officer, said: “Our May Fair offers so much for people to do and so many different ways of exploring the wildlife and countryside, it is a mini nature festival for families.”

Generous raffle donations were made by RSPB Havergate Island, Easton Farm Park, Ufford Park Spa & Health Club, Baylham House Rare Breeds Farm, Snape Maltings, Greyhound Public House, John Olivers Ipswich & Woodbridge and Red Rose Chain.

The event aimed to offer people a flavour of the activities the Suffolk Wildlfie Trust offers at Foxburrow Farm throughout the year.
