Ipswich Town youngster Rio Morgan is to miss the rest of the season after going under the knife last week.

The 18-year-old forward, who has featured for both the U18s and U21s this campaign, underwent a latarjet operation to fix a recurring dislocated shoulder.

Morgan signed his first professional deal with the club in January last year and featured for Kieran McKenna's side during pre-season.

He has won caps for Northern Ireland at U17, U18 and U19 level, and was most recently part of the latter's camp last month in preparation for the European Championship finals in July.
