With the pairs of mixed ability, and a mix of Suffolk clubs, including Deben and Bury St Edmunds.

Held at Felixstowe, in great weather, but with rough seas, all competitors didn’t hold back and let the crashing waves dent their performances.

With a variety of gruelling events, all abilities had the opportunity to shine and show the lifesaving skills taken on-board during the summer of training.

Events included board rescues, rope rescues, swim and tows and beach sprints.

“Georgie was great, after being with the club for around a month, while Polly, Maddie, JJ, Helen and Kris may have been feeling the cold, due to being so small, but carried on with big hearts.

“Ruby was Ruby, she just gets on with it and also has the National Finals to look forward to in November.

“Ben and Isaac are nearing the upper age for this, and oozed class. It was good to see.”
