West Sussex referee Tim Robinson has been put in charge of Sunday’s derby clash at Portman Road.
The 33-year-old former PE teacher sent off Norwich forward Marley Watkins for a poor tackle late in City’s 2-1 win at Reading ahead of the international break.
In total he has shown 43 yellow and seven red cards during 15 games this season, booking four Reading players during that clash at the Madejski Stadium.
Robinson has also taken charge of two Ipswich wins this campaign, showing two yellow cards as Town won 1-0 at home to Birmingham on the opening day of the season.
The other game was also at Portman Road, as Mick McCarthy’s team beat Sunderland 5-2, when three players were booked.
The EFL have also confirmed Mark Jones and Ian Cooper as assistant referees for Sunday lunchtime’s televised clash, with Keith Stroud as fourth official having refereed City’s 1-1 draw with Hull at Carrow Road on Saturday.
