Arsenal in for German duo

ARSENE Wenger is rumoured to be preparing a bid for Stuttgart centre back Serdar Tasci and Bayer Leverkusen keeper Rene Adler.

A joint bid in the region of 22million will reportedly seal the double signing, as the Gunners look to beef up their defensive options.

With both players having been subject to intense transfer speculation, Wenger will need to act fast to secure the pair widely tipped as future German international regulars, even though they missed out on Joachim Low’s final 23-man squad for the World Cup.

The Emirates boss has been promised extensive funds to help extend his squad, and he has openly admitted at looking to add to his three centre-backs and is also not very keen on his current goalkeeping options. Australian international Mark Schwarzer is another goalkeeper that has been linked with Arsenal in the summer.
