Residents in Newmarket can visit a pop-up shop on the High Street to find out about the latest tips on saving water.
The shop, which launched on December 1 and will remain in the town until January 31, is part of the ‘Smarter Drop’ Anglian Water campaign.
The campaign aims to make Newmarket the water saving capital of the UK, with the goal of reducing residents’ individual water use to 80 litres per day.
This represents a saving of up to £120 per year.
The pop-up shop, located at 97 High Street, will also include free activities for children and tea and coffee.
Emma Staples, of Anglian Water, said: “We know that consumers are interested in the idea of saving water and are motivated by its potential to reduce household expenses.
“However, it was important for us to help residents move from a place of interest to one of action and we think the face to face opportunity facilitated by our presence on the high street will be a key inspirer.
“The shop will also help us to better explain and showcase some really clever, new water saving tools which residents can be the first to try and start using today.”
