A Bury St Edmunds menswear retailer celebrated the first anniversary of its store opening in Cambridge with a visit from two cricket legends.
Trotter and Deane Menswear Retailer in Cambridge welcomed cricket legends and clients Alastair Cook and Nick Knight, who hosted the celebration along with brand founder and major shareholder John Deane-Bowers.
“I have a sense that our graduation to Cambridge may prove to be the coming of age of the brand,” said Mr Deane-Bowers.
The retailer, founded in 1991, decided to expand at a challenging time for the UK retail market.
“We are able to offer real exclusivity of product and attention to detail,” said Mr Deane-Bowers. “I am doing my best to swim against the tide of homogenisation and it seems to be working.”
This niche retailer said the outlook for the sector was looking a little brighter.
