A Felixstowe transport firm is celebrating after achieving a coveted quality standard with the help of another firm based in the town.

European freight specialist Jordon, which was started in 1999 by Jon Swallow and Roddy Forster, was supported by compliance risk specialists VARTAN to secure the ISO 9001:2015 standard.

The accreditation will enable the firm to help customers with their global trade channels.

Jordon director Mr Swallow said: “Working towards this accreditation was never a tick box exercise for us. Continuous improvement is at the bedrock of how we operate, but for ISO 9001:2015 it was vital to have the support and commitment of colleagues across all aspects of our business. By taking our time, and with VARTAN’s specialist help, we got it right and are very proud of the accreditation.”

VARTAN boss Miles Vartan said the commitment of everyone at Jordon to go the extra mile was evident from the outset.
