Ipswich waterfront bar and restaurant, Isaacs on the Quay, is making a difference and getting behind two big community events in the next 18 months.

Taking a lead at this summer’s Ipswich Maritime Festival, Isaacs has been confirmed as the event’s headline sponsor, helping to make a weekend to remember for 65,000 visitors.

Aidan Coughlan owner of Isaacs on the Quay, said: “Isaacs has supported the Maritime Festival since it was reintroduced back in 2010 and we’re incredibly excited to be playing a bigger role in this fantastic event this year. The festival reminds us all of our town’s special relationship with the waterfront and the work and prosperity it has brought to our local communities.”

Ipswich Maritime Festival, which will take place on Saturday and Sunday August 18 and 19 this year, will once again include a funfair, a street market and visits from historic boats and sailing vessels.

Organised by Ipswich Borough Council in conjunction with Associated British Ports (ABP), Ipswich Maritime Trust and Ipswich Waterfront Action, local businesses will also play a key role.

On the waterfront itself, Isaacs is perfectly placed to support visitors at this exciting festival. Isaacs’ sister companies, The Briarbank Bar and Brewery and The Gardeners Arms, are both also event sponsors.

Carrying its support of the community on into 2019, Isaacs has also confirmed that it will be a part of St Elizabeth Hospice’s latest art trail; Elmer’s Big Parade Suffolk. In addition to sponsoring an Elmer sculpture, Isaacs have joined the ‘Early Bird Herd’, pledging to raise £3,500 for St Elizabeth Hospice through a range of fundraising activities.
