A Leiston food firm is offering an energy boost to a team of cyclists taking part in a six-day charity ride from Aberystwyth, in Wales, to Aldeburgh, starting on Monday, June 25.

Munchy Seeds founder Lucinda Clay said they were “really pleased” to support the team from Dementia Help, who will be raising awareness and funds for YoungDementia UK, by supplying them with their snack packs.

Peter Berry, director of Dementia Help, was diagnosed with early onset dementia at the age of 50 and is now 53. He will be accompanied by keen cyclist and carer Jan Dodd, whose partner has dementia.

They will be joined on the last few days of the Cycle Challenge by Jon Bray from cycling retailer, Sax Velo.

“I know the importance of good nutrition when taking part in an endurance event or challenge, so I’m really glad we have the support of Munchy Seeds and can use their products as and when I need to, said Peter.
