NAAME (New Anglia Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering) has announced the first of many manufacturing groups being created in Suffolk, the first of which will be in West Suffolk, covering areas in and around Bury St Edmunds.

The first meeting, which will be taking place at Edmunds Restaurant on October 4th at 4pm, will provide an opportunity for local manufacturing and engineering businesses to come together with public bodies and academics to discuss challenges they are experiencing in their sector and allow the exploring of solutions.

These manufacturing groups are being created to provide manufacturers with a voice to influence their activities and regional and national policies, allowing them to create a stronger trading environment for their business.

Each manufacturing group will be performed by a different host, providing a private tour of their site allowing the sharing and learning of best practice. Previous tours of other manufacturing groups have included Warren Services and Camvac.

As well as a tour of facilities, guest speakers will provide thought-provoking talks as well as building awareness of local activity which requires support or development.

If you are interested in acting as the host for future West Suffolk Manufacturing Groups, please contact Jordan at Jsharman@hethelinnovation.com
