Newsreader and Strictly Come Dancing star John Sergeant is coming to Sufolk to speak at a special Suffolk Chamber event.

John Sergeant has been pushed around by Margaret Thatcher’s press secretary, was present at Martin Luther King’s `I have a dream’ speech and became an unlikely star of TV’s Strictly Come Dancing.

Now he is preparing for an engagement in Suffolk, as guest speaker at Suffolk Chambers second prestige dinner, on October 30, 2018 at Milsoms Kesgrave Hall.

The event will be a black tie event with networking for Suffolk’s movers and shakers.

The highly successful inaugural Prestige Dinner in March which saw global finance expert Justin Urquhart-Stewart discuss Brexit, protectionism, the United States under President Trump, growing inequality and cyber security issues.

Amanda Ankin, Suffolk Chamber operations director, said: “we’re delighted to have booked such a well-known, knowledgeable and entertaining speaker for our second dinner in this new series of events.”

Advance tickets are now on sale from Suffolk Chamnber.
