West Suffolk businesses looking to update their vehicle fleet or save on energy costs are encouraged to register for a free business festival event.
The West Suffolk Business Festival is taking place from October 2 to 12.
As part of the festival, West Suffolk councils’ environment and energy team has co-ordinated an event looking at advances in electric technology plus the support available to businesses.
The event on October 10 offers a chance to meet some of the industry leaders in the development of Electric Vehicles and their charging infrastructure, plus to hear about the use of solar panels and other renewable energies to help businesses cut their energy costs and reduce their carbon footprint.
Business leaders will also be offered the chance to test drive EVs including luxury cars and commercial vans.
John Griffiths, leader of St Edmundsbury Borough Council said: “We want to help local businesses focus on doing what they do best, building on their success, developing new products, expanding into new markets, and supporting local jobs, our economy and future prosperity. Our continuing role is to create and maintain the best possible environment for this and to help open doors to aid that business success.”
The Electric Innovation Showcase – Electric Vehicles, Solar PV and Energy Storage takes place at Denny Brothers in Kempson Way, Bury St Edmunds from 11am to 3pm on October 10.
