A holiday park operator with six parks in Suffolk and one in Norfolk has turned over almost £150m in the year to December 2017, up from just over £130m a year earlier.
Park Holidays, which runs 29 parks across the UK and is headquartered in East Sussex, has posted a rise in pre-tax profits to £34.6m from £31.8m. The company has two parks in Felixstowe and three parks in Tendring around the St Osyths area, as well as one near Saxmundham and another in Norfolk, just along the coast from Great Yarmouth.
A statement accompanying the figures said the UK economy was “relatively stable”, despite Brexit uncertainty.
Over the last five years, Park Holidays has carried out major refurbishments to most of its clubhouses, built new swimming pools and invested millions of pounds in new and upgraded accommodation. The company also carries out conservation work in the areas around their parks and has been awarded the David Bellamy Conservation Award for its efforts.
