A marketing agency from Sudbury donated more than £62,000 worth of products and services to charities and campaigns in the area in 2017.

Mackman, based in Meadow Lane, have helped charities and community projects in the town and surrounding areas with their branding and website design.

The company, which launched in 2003, says it has made local charities a priority since it began by donating its professional marketing services and working with organisations to promote growth.

Mackman worked mainly with well-known Sudbury charity The Bridge Project – a social enterprise dedicated to assisting disadvantaged adults in the community – and the town’s cultural hub St Peter’s last year.

The Bridge Project, in Gainsborough Street, provides a series of social activities, a hot meal delivery service, and creative workshops for all ages.

The charity, which was launched in 1995, also run a cafe which offers snacks prepared by dedicated kitchen staff, which includes people with learning disabilities, and is open to all.

Mackman’s team of specialists transformed the charity by refreshing its branding and modernising their website, as well as commercialising the brands identity to appeal to the wider community.

Jo Searle, The Bridge Project’s chief executive, said: “Our sleek new brand identity has given us a much-needed face lift. Our customers love it.”

For St Peter’s – a redundant church turned community venue – Mackman helped to rebrand the Sudbury landmark and create a website, and the company will continue to provide additional marketing services this year.

The venue is booked for a diverse range of activities, including a model railway show, the annual Christmas tree festival, farmers’ markets and the Kettle and Fish Cafe.

Peter Gray, chairman of Friends of St Peter’s, said: “Even in its first stage, the new website has done wonders for our image. With Mackman’s help we can reach new audiences and ensure a bright future for St Peter’s.”

Paul Mackman, company director, said: “Helping local charities grow has been a priority for Mackman since we first began. We want to empower local charities who are so vital to the community.”
