Chelsea are set to test Newcastle’s resistance with an �18 million offer for tricky winger Hatem Ben Arfa. The France international is hot property following a terrific season on Tyneside and the Magpies may hold out for more than �26 million. (Times)

Arsenal are keen to sign Euro 2012 sensation Alan Dzagoev, who is valued at �13 million by CSKA Moscow. The 21-year-old Russian, who has set the tournament alight with three goals in just two games, is out of contract in December. (Daily Star)
