BOSNIAN striker Edin Dzeko is still in the hunt for a big money move to Manchester City after pleading with current club Wolfsburg to drop their asking price, according to a report.
The German club have a 50 million price tag on the frontman which rocketed up since the 35m release clause in Dzeko’s contract expired, which has put City off for a move.
Scoring a total of 29 goals last season, it is clear why City are interested, and he is still hopeful he can persuade his club to lower the figure: “I want to clarify that it is not a matter of money, but of ambition. I feel I have to take a leap in quality and play for a big club.
Dzeko remains high on City’s list of transfer targets if they can sign him at the right price, according to the Daily Mail.
Manager Roberto Mancini admitted last week that he is interested in the possibility of partnering him with another target, Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli.
