Pick out your perfect Christmas tree at one of these fab festive locations in Suffolk.
Blackthorpe Barn, Rougham
Previously a showpiece outside 10 Downing Street and currently the centre of festivities in Bury St Edmunds, Rougham Estate Christmas Trees also form the beautiful centrepiece for homes across East Anglia every year. Available until December 22, visitors to Blackthorpe Barn in Rougham, just outside Bury St Edmunds, can enjoy wandering through the tree lined displays to choose their perfect festive attraction. Rougham Estate Christmas Trees are famous for their quality and longevity, they are grown in plantations close to the barn itself and are available in many varieties, shapes, sizes and colour, freshly cut or pot grown. Each tree comes with added the confidence of knowing that Rougham Estate has previously won the ‘British Christmas Tree Grower of the Year’ award and the team are recognised experts in their field.
Laurel Farm Garden Centre, Ipswich
Visit Laurel Farm to find freshly cut Christmas trees, one of which could make the ideal centrepiece for your front room this December. If you’re looking to decorate your home a little further, you’ll also find plenty of handmade wreaths that would sit perfectly on your front door. As well as trees, Laurel Farm also sells gifts, cards and decorations and has a café serving winter warmers and festive cakes.
Bellflower Garden Centre, Stonham Aspal
Choose your perfect tree from a range of Nordmann Fir and Fraser Fir ‘non-drop’ British grown Christmas trees at Bellflower Garden Centre at Stonham Barns in Stonham Aspal. Delivery and netting services are available too, making the task of getting your tree home even easier.
Swann’s Nursery, Bromeswell
All Christmas trees at Swann’s Nursery are grown on site in Bromeswell, and will be on sale from the end of November. The Nordman Fir, which drops fewer needles than the Norway Spruce, will need to be kept watered while in the house, however both will make the perfect centre piece in your living room this festive season. Sizes range from 3ft to 10ft, and cost £6 per foot.
Suffolk Food Hall, Ipswich
Similarly to the rest of its site, Suffolk Food Hall focuses on product and service quality when it comes to its trees. The trees come from an award-winning, sustainable grower in Saxmundham, and are freshly cut, only a few days before arriving, to ensure a healthy tree that will comfortably last until Christmas and beyond, without dropping too many needles. The team visit the grower regularly to hand select trees, and then complete the final preparations once delivered. This same team are on hand to advise the best way to maintain the tree and help select your winner from the range. The first of Suffolk Food Hall’s trees have already arrived, with additional Nordman, Norway and Douglas Fir arriving within the week.
Redhouse Christmas Barn, Sternfield
Redhouse Christmas Barn is another Christmas tree provider with great fame – it’s a previous winner of the Christmas Tree Grower of The Year Award as well as previously producing the tree for 10 Downing Street and being filmed by Blue Peter a few years back! Ranging in height from 3ft to 20ft tall, Norway Spruce, Nordmann Fir, Douglas fir, Fraser fir and Noble plus many more including potted Christmas trees. 40 acres of a variety of different speciality Christmas trees are grown each year at this plantation, which is situated between Aldeburgh and Saxmundham. Pay a visit to find your tree this festive season, all of which are guaranteed to be of high quality, great colour and natural shape.
Katie’s Garden, Newbourne
Forget the stress of trying to cram an eight-foot Nordmann Fir into your little hatchback car and buy your tree from Katie’s Garden Plant Centre this December, as the traditional garden nursery near Woodbridge and Ipswich is offering free Christmas tree delivery throughout much of east Suffolk when you spend at least £25. Katie’s Garden will have a tempting choice of cut and potted trees at its Newbourne nursery (which is open daily 10am to 4pm), as well as at its sister plant centre Bridge Farm Plants in Monks Eleigh (open daily 11am to 4pm). Select something with presence for your presents to nestle under, welcome guests to your house with a compact doorstep tree or have a table centrepiece to be proud of with a miniature fir. Alongside the winter range of hedging, garden trees, fruit bushes, roses and shrubs, you can also pick up attractive seasonal wreaths and gift plants.
Hollow Trees Farm, Semer

From the minute the tiny tree seeds (sourced from a small area in Siberia) are planted, to controlling the pesky weeds and then trimming those wonky, wayward branches, it takes a specialist dedicated team of tree lovers.
